The American Bully Classes is a complicated breed, once you figure out the different types of american bullies. There are 6 different classes to learn about and decide which you prefer.
Pocket Bully
Micro Bully
Extreme Bully
Extra Large XL Bully
Exotic Bully
Classic Bully
First and foremost, Its important to remember that no matter what is trending at the moment, when you are looking for a bully you choose what looks good to you. I've actually had people tell me how much they love one of my dogs, and then ask if its an american bully, exotic bully, or extreme bully, because they want to make sure they get one of those! If they like the dog they need to see that the classification irrelevant. That being said, knowing the classifications is great to help with learning what style you prefer, and for all around knowledge of the breed and how it has developed.
Pocket Bully
Males under 17 inches at the withers and no less than 13 inches at the withers. Females under 16 inches at the withers and no less than 12 inches at the withers. The Pocket Bullly variety is simply a shorter American Bully. They weigh between 55-80 pounds depending on sex and height.
Micro Bully
Males under 13 inches at the withers. Females under 12 inches at the withers. The Micro Bully is simply a shorter Pocket Bully. Micro Bullies weigh between 40-60 pounds depending on sex and height.
Extreme Bully
The extreme bully category is the newest category of the American Bully. The extreme bully has had to overcome a lot of adveristy. It has a unique build, like the american bully but with more extreme everything, bigger head, more bone, barrelled down chest, more mass, extreme muscle and shorter muzzle.
Exotic Bully
The exotic bully is also a new type of bully, its pretty much an exotic form of the american bully. Meaning, depending on the breeder it can have french bulldog features or english bulldog features completely remaking the American Bully.
Extra Large XL Bully
The XL bully is determined by its adult height. Males over 20 inches at the withers and females over 19 inches at the withers. XL bullies do weigh 100 pounds+.
Classic Bully
The Classic Bully is defined by its body structure, and build. The Classic Bully variety is simply an American Bully dog having lighter body frames (lighter bone) and less overall body mass. Classic Bullies can have more of a pitbull look to them.
