Veterinary Oversight Before Going Home
Every puppy before they leave us is thoroughly examined by our veterinarian at Palmetto Veterinary Clinic. Each puppy receives a full health check to ensure they are developing properly and are in excellent condition before going to their new home.
We believe prevention and professional oversight are just as important as offering a written guarantee. Our veterinary partnership helps us confidently stand behind every puppy we produce.
What Our 1-Year Health Guarantee Covers
Our health guarantee protects against:
- Premature death caused by an innate or genetic defect
- Conclusive genetic errors that can cause or have caused death
This guarantee applies strictly to genetic or innate conditions that directly result in – or are proven capable of resulting in – the puppy’s death.
If a covered genetic condition is confirmed under the terms below, the puppy will be replaced with a similar puppy from a future litter.
Requirements for Coverage
To ensure clarity and fairness for both parties, the following conditions must be met:
In the Event of Death:
- A licensed veterinarian must perform a necropsy (autopsy).
- The necropsy must be completed within 72 hours of death.
- The findings must clearly show that death was caused by an innate or genetic defect.
- All documentation must be provided.
In the Case of a Genetic Diagnosis:
- The diagnosis must be conclusive – not hypothetical or speculative.
- A second written opinion is required from the seller’s veterinarian.
- All veterinary paperwork must be emailed directly from the diagnosing veterinarian to the seller.
- The condition must be one that can cause or has caused premature death.
If the criteria are met, we will honor the guarantee and provide a replacement puppy of similar value and quality.
